The percussion ensemble of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Oviedo is made up of eight members, all students of the institution. Its repertoire includes both classical compositions of important composers, and its own compositions prepared for such ensemble and written by its conductor, Fernando Arias. It has been invited to participate in several events at the national level, among which it is important to mention the 8º Meetings on Percussion of Ribarroja del Turia, as well as some exchanges with other Conservatories such as Musikene or Valencia.
